Milford Group has come a long way since Chairman, Bob Trendle and Vice Chairman, Jim Murphy established the company in 1992, with their shared vision and combined experience of more than 50 years in the construction and property industries.
Milford Group annually builds around 250-400 units, exclusively in and around the South East and South Coast. To date, it has completed developments throughout the South East, from South London to Worthing and from the East towards Hastings and Dover.

Milford prides itself on detailed attention to planning and quality of execution in construction. Milford is one of the few developers in the UK that manages everything itself, from land sourcing and procurement to timber frame manufacture, construction and selling. Milford developments are finished to the highest specifications; they are enduring, efficient and beautifully appointed. A wide range of white goods and luxury enhancements are frequently fitted as standard, not ‘extra’.
Milford consistently wins praise for its commitment to the environment and for its social conscience. Since inception, 50% of its output has been dedicated to affordable social housing, exceeding the minimum requirements stipulated by local councils. Milford has long championed the cause for affordable housing for ‘key’ workers in the South of England. This recognition means that nurses, teachers and other public servants have a fighting chance of being able to work and be homeowners in their desired location. The Milford Group is trusted and respected by the authorities and actively seeks to provide employment for local people and to enhance each area with regeneration schemes.
Relocation with Style
In keeping with a company that prides itself on quality of build and leading edge design, Milford’s expansion to new offices in Purley has been undertaken with constructional flair and concern for the environment. Using resources and expertise within the Group, Milford has transformed a site occupied by jaded office blocks into a massively improved area, enriching the community of Purley with innovative 21st century office space, 36 luxury apartments and landscaped communal grounds.
